The fastest version of Bejeweled hits the PC with a new shimmer

You’ve played the game already, about 10,000 times. Bejeweled is probably the easiest mainstream casual game to get in to and Bejeweled Blitz, it’s Facebook-integrated cousin, is even easier to get in to. With every game lasting only a minute and a leaderboard composed of your friend’s high scores the game seems minimalist at best, but the new PC-download version looks to make the experience shine.

The invention of the puzzle/RPG mash-up is definitely one of those moments. PopCap's ball-blasting amphibian travels to a mysterious island for an all new adventure

It would have been easy for PopCap Games to simply release more of the same when designing a sequel to the casual gaming staple, Zuma. It’s hard to believe that Zuma’s Revenge is only the second Zuma game since the original’s debut six years ago despite it being one of the most successful casual video games of all time. With six years PopCap has had plenty of time to adapt and improve on the mechanics players first fell in love with.
