2009 marks a very special year in the 5-year tenure I’ve been running GeneralGames.ca (in it’s various incarnations) as the first year we’ve successfully organized and executed a large scale charity operation. Thanks to all the donations from our readers online with our raffle and offline with our events the GeneralGames.ca community helped raise over $1,000 dollars for Child’s Play!

Cool-dudes who hosted the party and the awesome prize tower behind them.

Saturday November 14th game fans from all across Southern Ontario descended upon the Strathcona Hotel in downtown Toronto to help celebrate the holidays with GeneralGames.ca by raising money for Child’s Play while having a great time. The event was a casual affair with drinks, food, a live chiptunes concert and of course games.
